Pros

Working at StarHub Ltd has been a valuable and rewarding experience. As one of Singapore’s leading telecommunications and digital services companies, StarHub provides a dynamic environment where employees are exposed to fast-moving technology, enterprise solutions, cybersecurity, cloud, managed services, and digital transformation initiatives. The company offers strong opportunities for professional growth, especially for individuals who enjoy working in a competitive, customer-focused, and innovation-driven industry. The work environment encourages collaboration across teams, problem-solving, and continuous learning. Employees have the chance to engage with major enterprise customers, understand complex business needs, and deliver impactful technology solutions. One of the key strengths of StarHub is its strong brand reputation and established position in Singapore’s telecom and ICT market. This provides employees with good exposure to strategic accounts, large-scale projects, and meaningful customer engagements. The company also continues to evolve beyond traditional telecommunications into areas such as 5G, cybersecurity, cloud, and managed services, creating more opportunities for career development. Overall, StarHub Ltd is a good workplace for professionals who want to build experience in telecommunications, enterprise technology, and digital services. It is especially suitable for individuals who are driven, adaptable, customer-oriented, and keen to grow in Singapore’s fast-changing ICT industry.

Cons

Working at StarHub Ltd can be a valuable experience, but like many large telecommunications and ICT companies, it also comes with challenges. The work environment can be fast-paced and demanding, especially for sales, enterprise, operations, and customer-facing roles. Targets, deadlines, and customer expectations can be high, which may create pressure during peak business periods or major project delivery cycles. As StarHub operates in a competitive telecommunications and digital services market, employees may need to constantly adapt to changing business priorities, new technologies, pricing pressure, and evolving customer requirements. This can sometimes lead to shifting directions, heavier workloads, and the need to manage multiple responsibilities at the same time. For some roles, internal processes and approvals may feel complex due to the size of the organization. Cross-functional coordination can take time, especially when working across sales, technical, product, finance, and operations teams. Career growth may also depend heavily on business unit performance, leadership direction, and available internal opportunities. Employees who prefer a very structured and predictable environment may find the pace and changes challenging. Overall, StarHub Ltd is a strong brand with good industry exposure, but the role may be demanding for those who are not comfortable with high expectations, fast changes, and pressure from a competitive ICT market.

Pros

- they pay your salary on time - there are a lot of good people here - not much more to add here

Cons

It's really hard to work at this company when you're senior manager level and below. AVP and higher, it's fine because you just blame your direct reports. Most organizations are a pyramid structure with a good foundation, but you can think of this organization like an inverted pyramid. There are more upper management people, than people who actually do the operations. As a bottom feeder, you get constantly blamed by upper management for not doing your job well and project delays. It's really hard to do your job with so many issues. - Teams are operating at a skeleton crew because HR can't hire people who want to work at such a company - Processes are a mess with no documentation, half the time you're working off a shared folder of someone who left before you arrived - Everyone is being tasked with doing a million things
