Pros
If you like doing nothing in between sitting around and doing nothing all day, and being up to your eyeballs doing so much work that you actually didn’t apply for to begin with - this job is perfect for you. If you also dislike doing basic training, great! That is also not provided at all! If you want to be at the bottom of a multi-level marketing scheme, this job is ideal
Cons
The multi-level marketing scheme is the worst part. When I applied I was told that there would be upward mobility opportunities (which is kind of true). Once I started working there I was told by the other ‘audiologists’ (literally nobody there is an audiologist), that training is two years, and you owe the company another two years of your services to pay them back for the training. If you leave before the two years are up, you owe up to 14k. Everyone except for two workers told me they regretted doing it. One of the ‘audiologists’ was counting down the days until the contract ended. Also, the training they provide is for becoming a ‘HAD’ or ‘hearing aid dispenser’, which is practically useless outside of Specsavers. You can only work there or at a competing company, so the options are very limited. One guy literally paid his way out of Specsavers, just to come back like two years later because the opportunities as a ‘hearing aid dispenser’ are limited.
