Pros
Stability of a company with a 100 year track record of success... Large employee base with opportunities for movement within the organization. Generally employee friendly. Emphasis on work/life balance. HR and other organizations are very pro employee and insure a diverse workplace. Compensation and benefits are above average.
Cons
Large regulated company that moves slowly. Senior management has been in place for quite some time and is generally illustrative of the lack of evolution. Much of the culture is slow, steady, and inwardly focused. Some managers are like parasites and auger into the company as there's little risk of being dismissed.
