Pros

At first it seems like you've hit the jackpot with SWI. But it doesn't take long to realize that this Global Corporation is an absolute mess. There are always good people wherever you go and SWI was no different. Some really great people working to do good things. But it cannot change the fact that this CORPORATION is run by someone who cares more about buying another company for their product, rather than actually ensuring that the products we have are in good standing. So to the point a few Pros' 1. People 2. Free Food 2x a Week, more if you are in Sales or support Sales 3. The location is pretty... 4. Benefits are good

Cons

So as I said before this place is kind of a mess, and it is much worse now of course given the recent hacking scandal. Even though I said that People were part of the Pros' they are also part of the Cons'. The "Good Ol'boy" mentality is very pervasive, there are definitely more men than women and many of the male managers get to act however they wish. When you hear other managers, even those above your own say "They just get frustrated" anytime they have a temper tantrum that is obviously not appropriate in a meeting with VPs and other Executives as well as their teams you know that they've been coached to allow the poor behavior.

Pros

Amazing office space in Charlotte with a strong emphasis on work-life balance. There are plenty of social events and networking opportunities that help employees stay engaged and build relationships across different business units. The recent IT reorganization has created a unique opportunity to participate in system and process design initiatives. While this level of change and transformation may not appeal to everyone, it offers valuable experience for those who enjoy shaping new processes and driving organizational improvements. I am optimistic about the direction of the organization and confident in the vision and leadership of the new IT management team.

Cons

Career advancement opportunities can sometimes feel limited within a satellite office environment, and promotion paths are not always clearly defined. Employees seeking long-term growth may benefit from having proactive career development conversations with leadership. The recent IT reorganization has introduced a period of transition, resulting in some uncertainty and lower morale across parts of the organization. The department is currently in a rebuilding phase, and new employees should expect to contribute to the implementation of new processes, systems, and ways of working. Compensation appears to be somewhat below market rates for certain roles, which may be a consideration for candidates prioritizing salary growth.
