Pros

Laid back work because there is no work to be done. Since no work I was able to get by working only 5 hours a week without management noticing.

Cons

The management is untrustworthy. For years claims that potential work contracts are being turned down. Then recently announced bankruptcy. managment had decency to make all workers work for 2 weeks then announce bankruptcy on pay day and not hand out salary. management had a vocabulary learnt from rap music. management had the creativity of a starting engineer and couldn’t innovate this startup, they used to rely on a smart phd for ideas and got by for years. During Covid pay reductions .

Pros

It is an incredibly difficult task that we are tackling and the disappearance of the textile manufacturing industry in the US highlights this fact. I am lucky to work with some of the most talented people in robotics, vision and project management to turn this tide. Fortunately, we have some of the worlds best known brands that believe what we do and have begun scaling sewing here in the US. This technology isn't just another SaaS company trying to find a tiny corner to plant a flag. This company is reshaping the manufacturing map and creating textile manufacturing jobs here in the USA. I think that's important work. Working with customers is fulfilling and challenging requiring you to be able to work across functional departments from legal to finance to engineering to project management. The value proposition is straightforward and significant and garners a lot of press attention.

Cons

The company is growing rapidly with customers and staff. This places more stress on our time and ability to accomplish milestones. From a sales and marketing perspective, this also greatly increases my time traveling and being away from my family. Additionally, from a management perspective, we require our employees to be very self motivated, but the con is that we don't always have a template for that work. It's something we are actively working on, but thats why we are hiring more great people.
