Pros

If you make your line counts and your quality scores are satisfactory, they don't QA you as much and they let you log in and do your work without watching over your shoulder and nit picking things. If you run out of work, you can ask to help out on another account or be given a secondary (or third, or fourth) account. There's no reason to not have work unless it is a typical slow day, like Christmas.

Cons

Sometimes an account is taken away because a client leaves and you have to learn a new account, but it doesn't happen often and if you get put on 2-3 busy accounts, you'll always have a steady paycheck.

Pros

Straight transcription jobs for those not fond of medical editing. Work had been plentiful, had very good accounts, few difficult dictators. Laid off for only 6 weeks during pandemic, then called back to work, an enjoyable way to supplement retirement pay and not yet ready to leave the workforce. Able to pick days off I wanted and hours I wanted to work within my shift. Good feedback on the more difficult dictators. Very much liked working on Glyph.

Cons

Work seems to be in the famine phase now, laid off again last week due to this. Communication to employees needs to be better. No increase in pay in the years I have worked. Healthcare insurance too costly to accept.
