Poor Management and Unsupportive Environment - Service Manager Social Interest Group Employee Review

The services are extremely understaffed and undervalued. The work we do with service users are overlooked and that possibly is the only positive of working here - building relationships and working with these users on their journey. Senior managers and management teams are never available when required, they all work from home or claim to be at head office but presence to oversee their team is non-existent unless there is an inspection or an incident. Front line staff are left to take on all the work with minimal support with high risk clients. We are thrown into the deep end and be told to get on with it if we complain or raise concerns to do with safety or well being. Senior management/leadership, CEO teams is a group of people with lack of experience of how to effectively manage and structure an organisation. Constant promises of better pay and benefits will little effect, however bonus payments are given to Head Office staff favourites throughout the year but front line staff ineligible. We are left on £22k per annum + 2/3% increase while risking our lives. Nepotism is very real. Favourites of the CEO and senior management are rewarded and those who complain are pushed out of the organisation through bullying tactics as many have already noted. Constant new roles being created at senior level with little impact to support front line workers. That money could go to improving working conditions and staff pay. It is a very toxic working environment and management are inconsistent with the truth. Staff turnover is extremely high for both front line and senior position are constantly changing with new people in post mostly. Finance and HR teams are constantly leaving as well as service managers and Heads of services. No real development to invest in people, listen and support us. Seems their aim is merely just to keep feeding the greedy.
