Pros

Decent, competitive medical benefits. Employee discount on merchandise. The company gives to charitable causes. (Unfortunately, however, as you can see it also avoids putting tax revenue back into the U.S. economy by basing its "headquarters" in Bermuda). At the corporate offices there are a few departments where some team members actually appear to enjoy their jobs enough to stick around for years despite the routine 50+ hour work weeks and below-market pay.

Cons

The two star rating above is being very generous. Behemoth company avoids transparency like the plague, while insulting the intelligence of team members by claiming to be a shining beacon of ethics and fairness. As another reviewer very accurately stated, the leadership in Akron is siloed and lives in the past. (And speaking of the past, the chickens have come home to roost. Do your own research on this). The complete leadership vacuum in Akron has become painfully apparent after Signet/Sterling's clumsy and ill-conceived 2014 buyout of their Dallas-based competitor Zales, an overreach that is destined to become a grim cautionary tale for business leaders for many years to come.

Pros

Autonomy, and generally, Signet has been good to me. Signet is one of (if not the) largest retail jewelers in the world.

Cons

It's such a big company.
