Pros

*My initial team was warm and welcoming. *I met some amazing people along the way that I plan to stay in touch with. *Cool product and modern technology. *Good pay and benefits.

Cons

*My entire team disappeared in under a year and wasn’t given a good reason as to why. *You will be disposed of the moment you’re no longer a vital component to the company. *Lack of transparency. *Little to no feedback on your performance. I was let go suddenly and wasn’t able to get any feedback as to why other than “we don’t want to pay you so much.” I wasn’t given any indication that my performance was poor so I was very confused and shocked. I was even given a small raise a month or so prior. I’ve never felt so disposable in my life and was very disappointed in how I was treated during my sudden separation call.

We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us and we are delighted to hear that your team was warm and welcoming as that is an important part of our culture. We have shared your feedback surrounding your exit with our People team as that is not in alignment with how we would expect to operate. We agree all performance issues should be raised and Shopmonkey has set up quarterly reviews and other feedback mechanisms to do so. If you have anything else to share we encourage you to reach out to your contact in the HR team.

Pros

- Great Leaders: Transparent, present, and hard working - Competitive compensation - A TON of momentum within the company

Cons

- Remote culture makes it hard to bond - Small company: A lot of scrappiness with softwares for your day to day, so you don't always have the best in class tools to succeed.

Pros

- Little to no micromanagement - There are a handful of decent people who work there - Traveling on the company's dime is a nice perk - In theory, the values are solid.

Cons

- If you aren't on the sales team, the company truly does not care about you. - Tech-bro culture - Unrealistic expectations and goals (unless you are on the sales team) - Not Shopmonkey's fault, but the customer base can be volatile and difficult to work with.
