Okay people and perks, but sales team gets priority

Pros

- Little to no micromanagement - There are a handful of decent people who work there - Traveling on the company's dime is a nice perk - In theory, the values are solid.

Cons

- If you aren't on the sales team, the company truly does not care about you. - Tech-bro culture - Unrealistic expectations and goals (unless you are on the sales team) - Not Shopmonkey's fault, but the customer base can be volatile and difficult to work with.

Challenged and mostly directionless

Pros

Lots of non-leadership folks in the company who genuinely try and care for one another. The app is a great idea overall with some bright spots in how it is executed. Very underserved part of the automotive industry, so what you’re doing feels like it could be impactful.

Cons

Horrible top-down management and micromanagement. 100% bro culture at the top. On the tech side of the company, it’s like you need to keep your opinions to yourself and just do what you’re told. Execs know best and dictate almost everything you’re allowed or not allowed to do even at senior levels. Speaking up always raises alarms and singles you out. People regularly fired or called out publicly at offsites. Overall a bipolar culture with good ol’ boys leadership.

Pros

Friendly people, for the most part We are encouraged to be creative and try new things

Cons

Reality is, everyone is overloaded and underpaid, so the creativity and exploration of new projects is compromised Promotions are arbitrary and seem heavily skewed in certain areas of the company
