Pros

The design of each Shift location is stunning and it's a great atmosphere to work in. The salary is reasonable compared to other similar positions in the Denver area.

Cons

The workload is SIGNIFICANT, and if you voice that you're having any troubles, or even don't complete everything in exactly the short amount of time they want you to, you're gaslit into feeling like you're failing. There's no coaching or training from upper management, and several of them are passive aggressive. The turnover at this company is incredibly high, and the members know it creating a strange dynamic. Unfortunately, the owners don't seem to know what's going on or be connected to the day-to-day, and simply write it off as "they weren't the right fit" rather than taking a look at the supervisors actually causing the issues. It's also an incredibly white company, with very little awareness for inclusivity and diversity support.

Pros

Feeling empowered to help the company, the team, and the member community succeed and grow is a special part of your position at Shift. As a manager you are relied on to be a leader and put the betterment of the community at the forefront of your daily tasks. It’s really a great place to learn and grow whether you want to develop your people, sales, marketing, finance or operations skills. The leadership team helps you get there through their high expectations that show they care.

Cons

As long as you balance and prioritize your workload and time, there are not many cons.

Pros

-Pay is higher than comparable jobs -The members are the best part of the experience. -Great Locations -Fun events -Wellness Benefit

Cons

Passive aggressive management sets unrealistic expectations and then will gaslight you into thinking you’re not trying hard enough. There is 0 room for error or mistake which is expected when learning the ropes of a new job. Training is unorganized and company process and procedures are inconsistent. Shift only offers 2 weeks of PTO and sick time combined and the health care offered is medico core. This company has constant turnover of staff. Shift shamelessly expects you to be available before and after work hours. You will be IM’d constantly, putting you on edge while expected to do a bit of everyone’s job and only paid for your own. If you mention this to management or challenge policy or procedures, you are already more than half way out the door. EXCESSIVE/ UNHEALTHY MICROMANAGEMENT! This leaves no room for creativity whatsoever. You are practically a puppet. There is no diversity or inclusivity as mentioned in a prior review. You can expect gossip upon management. I have personally over heard management talking about fellow employees and members creating an untrusting, uncomfortable and tense environment. Management seems to be genuine, which is only to support the reputation of the company however they are dishonest. The biggest problem is the cutthroat and condescending culture of the company and management.
