Pros
First of all, let me say my view is researched and I am 8 months into my time with this company. I was very careful about picking the company I wanted to work for next when I was searching for my next role. I landed on Shift Paradigm and saw myself as a Shifter the more and more I learned about this company. Why? Because I could stand out without being dependent on others not standing out to shine. As a person, I wanted to thriving and glow, but I also didn't want to be surrounded by people who were perform just to the minimum or were participating in quiet quitting to make my efforts seem exceptional. Iron sharpens iron. That environment would just kill my own personal sense of passion at work. At Shift Paradigm, I can be myself. My best self. In fact, I would be fostered to bringing that forward each and every day. Because the values matched my own values. I saw this come out in the people that interviewed me and on the company page and knew my decision was right. Since then, while I've had some highs and some lows (rough economic times all around), I don't regret my choice to come work here. As a non-traditional human worker (LBTQIA+), not only am I valued for my differences but the company presents me just as I am to the clients we work for with a sense of pride. Is any company perfect? No, but Shift does approach the problems they face collaboratively. Leadership works hard to empowering people to self-organize around the change with a listening ear, and has lead with a sense of humility in the months I have been here. If you are sick of the finger pointing, and want to work collaboratively to solve problems for fellow humans, Shift Paradigm is home.
Cons
This isn't a rinse and repeat company. The company offers strategy in unclear times, and practices that themselves, so no one solution or process is always correct. This happens inside the company as well as out. Exciting if you are a creative mind, but if you are follower and only want to punch in and out without contributing further, Shift just operates at a different level than that.
