Pros

Great employees that turned to friends; opportunities to learn in an agency environment

Cons

Leadership is dishonest, displays false sense of support and doesn't compensate well, especially when workloads are exceeding far more than 40 hours a week. At times, leadership intimidates and humiliates team members in front of their peers and superiors.

Companies and brands are built on the quality of the people that make up their culture. You don't build culture, you build people. As you've stated, SSG employs the best people who turn out to share incredible friendships in and outside of work. We hire the absolute best of the best. I would argue that leadership is incredibly transparent, that every single individual is supported in more ways than just financial and even in that, our team member base salaries have risen 20-30% over the past 2-3 years, making SSG among the most competitive small to mid-size PR firms. We are fans of building bridges, not burning them, and we want to see everyone flourish in their gifts and talents. We wish you the very best! Thanks for sharing. –Brittany
