Pros

- PTO starts at 20 days per year and increases each year - Flexible hours - Technically only 37.5 hour work weeks - Room for advancement if that’s what you want - I do recommend Sedgwick to friends looking for work but only because it’s a good place to start your career

Cons

- Internal communication issues - it’s impossible to get a timely response from anyone because everyone’s workload is too high to get to it all - Dealing with unhappy clients (due to the lack of responsiveness) becomes extremely frustrating, and management is no help ensuring clients that communication will improve - 90% of your day will be putting out fires - Work loads are impossibly high. Many colleagues work well into the night to complete everything. Management won’t force you to do it, but you’ll feel obligated to avoid client complaints. - Very high turnover rate - Management acts like they understand your concerns, but nothing changed in my years and years at Sedgwick - You have to fight for promotions and raises when you’re already doing the work of a more senior role

Pros

Great Company to work for with a great claims system. Does it go slow some time yes, but by far it is productive. This company truly wants employees to get work done. This is how it should be. So far so good. They really encourage teamwork and employee teamwork! Stark contrast to other places I’ve worked.

Cons

Need to be a little more strong on client rules of what we can and cannot provide. It’s very client service oriented. However, without limits can cause confusion to directives and expectations.
