Nothing more than expected, fine as a stopgap job or seasonal work - Customer Care Advisor Sedgwick Employee Review

Pros

Easy work, just answering phone calls and making small changes in easy-to-use software. No discrimination or anything, everyone is treated the same. Very specific work hours, so it never encroaches on your work-life balance.

Cons

No opportunity for progression - an absolute minimum wage job. High turnover of employees (due to everyone joining for seasonal work) means no real scope for a team dynamic. Management is quite strict about the little things (you have one job, which is to take calls from customers, and when you are not on a call you have nothing to do. However, if you do not look busy when not on a call, they will be annoyed). Also, they promise a €1000 bonus if you refer someone and they get hired - 2 instalments of €500 when they hit certain time milestones. However, my friend who did that for me never got a single cent of that money, even after I was there for 4 months. The same thing happened to him for someone else he referred, who got hired as well, and actually stayed longer than me.

Pros

Great Company to work for with a great claims system. Does it go slow some time yes, but by far it is productive. This company truly wants employees to get work done. This is how it should be. So far so good. They really encourage teamwork and employee teamwork! Stark contrast to other places I’ve worked.

Cons

Need to be a little more strong on client rules of what we can and cannot provide. It’s very client service oriented. However, without limits can cause confusion to directives and expectations.
