Pros
If you are looking for a place that you can make an immediate impact Search Optics is the place you want to be. I've never worked somewhere that allows for as much autonomy and self determination. If you have an idea to improve process, product, or strategy I can guarantee it will be heard. If it makes sense it will likely be tested. If it performs well it will be implemented globally as a best practice. This type of contribution can come from any level. This is not a company that leadership makes decisions behind closed doors and then dictates the fate of employees with little or no control. If you want to contribute in a real way from day one Search Optics offers you the opportunity to do that. Free snacks, employee events, and occasional food trucks are great benefits, but if you are driven to make a difference from day 1 all of that is just an added benefit.
Cons
Rapid growth is a great indicator of excellent strategy and even better execution. However, growth brings growing pains. There can be at times a lack of infrastructure to support a global company. This is common in start ups and rapidly growing companies and should not be a huge concern to most candidates. The most important thing to remember is that the leadership is learning along with their employees if you embrace some of the slight stumbles as learning opportunities you can find a great career.
