Pros

Generally nice people to work with at main office - friendly atmosphere, no real issues within teams

Cons

They claim to be inclusive and support disabled people in the workplace but ended up with low self-esteem and had nothing to do. They only kept me to be able to tick the box of employing a disabled person which became very apparent after my first year with them. My team was a semi-useful addition to fundraising that had no genuine reason to exist - which described my role perfectly as well. I started with enthusiasm and wanting to make a difference but after nearly 3 years ended up questioning my ability to do anything at all, as I was failing in every task I was given, but was nevertheless kept in my role. I'm glad I left when I did as they moved on to be a disability 'equality' charity and closed ALL their schools and residential services. Now they are essentially a political organisation that promotes social justice - without providing any tangible services.

Pros

If you’re interested in working with children, this is a great place to get your foot in the door. I don’t really have anything bad to say it was a great experience.

Cons

More of a temporary type of position because of the low pay and low hours
