Pros

I can wear earbuds. Lunchtime. You'll find plenty of people to binge drink with, possibly including your manager which is like a stockholm syndrome situation so not really a pro.

Cons

This is truly the most bizarre work environment I've ever been in. The lack of communication is astounding. I've been better managed in the past as a contractor working at home. Here, the feedback doesn't show up on my doorstep unless it's negative and too late to do anything about it. (Trying to get straight answers from anyone is like building alliances on Survivor. God help you if no one wants to talk.) Management lacks long-term planning when taking on new clients, which leads to either complete dead zones in work flow for weeks at a time to an influx so erratic it gets cycled through here probably in worse shape than when it arrived. But it's not a company that's even concerned with being competitive. This is seen in its lack of diversity, creativity, and ingenuity. It's only concern is the bottom line which traps it in a dismal assembly line loop.
