Pros

Three days in - Two days at home Good company perks & pension.

Cons

Recent developments at the company include several concerning incidents: Inconsistent communication regarding sales targets and commission structures has led to confusion among team members. Targets have been altered abruptly, often at the end of the month, creating uncertainty and impacting motivation. Additionally, adjustments to commission structures have been made without clear explanation. A promised new role for approximately 20 individuals failed to materialize, resulting in frustration and disappointment among the affected employees. Consequently, some sales representatives are now tasked with contacting unresponsive leads, while certain individuals possess unauthorized access to systems, granting them an unfair advantage in sales activities. This disparity in resources has led to internal conflict and hindered team collaboration. There are concerns about integrity and transparency within management, as instances of dishonesty have been observed. Employees report feeling disillusioned and demotivated due to these recurring issues, resulting in a decline in morale across the organization. Despite being touted as the leading software company in the UK, operational inefficiencies within Sage's systems have been a source of frustration for employees. Accessing necessary tools and completing tasks has become increasingly challenging, impeding productivity and hindering overall performance. These challenges collectively contribute to a work environment characterized by uncertainty, frustration, and diminished morale. Addressing these issues promptly is crucial to restoring confidence and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
