Pros

Highly engaged colleague/workforce. Lots of tremendous talent in marketing, sales and engineering. Leadership is committed to doing good through foundation.

Cons

Playing catch up, technically speaking, with competitors whose products were born in the cloud. Leadership suite in transition with many top execs departing/being "exit-ed".

Thanks for your review. The Sage Business Cloud is powered by three of the best industrial partners in the world - AWS from Amazon, Azure from Microsoft and Salesforce One. A recent customer told us they were "blown away" by Sage Financials saying it's the "best product and has transformed my business". Sage Business Cloud People is another fantastic solution and it's growing exponentially. We have strong foundation of growth for Sage Business Cloud underpinned by three awesome partners. Sage is a high performance focused organization, and change is constant. This kind of fast paced environment is not for everybody, but for most of our colleagues, they embrace the path of strong growth and transformation. Recently, Sage needed to make improvement to our business and streamline our processes to drive our performance – this resulted in a number of colleagues leaving the business. Although it is never easy, those colleagues will always be part of the Sage family and we ensured they left in a respectful and compassionate manner. Although we cannot publicly discuss the process, you can be assured that we the value of “do the right thing” in mind.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
