Pros

Sage in undergoing an ambitious transformation as it moves to a global operating model and rapidly modernise its product offerings to compete in an increasingly cloud solution dominated market. It's great to see Sage going through this much needed change, but at the same time change is difficult and can create some (hopefully temporary) pain-points. I'm encouraged by what I see but there's still plenty to do.

Cons

Change is scary and can create some difficult working conditions as old ways of working are removed and new ones take time to bed down. We need to be understanding and patient whilst remembering that these issues will be temporary.

Thanks you for reviewing Sage. We wholeheartedly agree with you - transformation was needed and some people love change and others find it more difficult. We have learnt many lessons from the process but one thing we always have to bear in mind the effect it has on individuals. At the end of the day it is these colleagues who ensure Sage is the great company it is, so treating our people with respect is important. Thanks again for your feedback.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
