Pros

Use to be a good company to work for, but situation in US is significantly worse in the last 2 years.

Cons

Sage does not care about employees at all. 3 days working from office is strictly enforced, with sick colleagues working at office all the time. Feels like they want to force you to quite working there. Almost all US colleagues I talked to were very frustrated with the company. Recently Sage also uses PIP as a weapon to terminate long term employees and avoid paying any severance package. I saw a 20+ years colleague being terminated without any severance package.

Thank you for sharing your experience, particularly given your long tenure with Sage. We’re sorry to hear how negatively your time ended and understand how frustrating and disappointing this experience clearly felt. Our hybrid working approach is designed to support a high‑performance, people‑centred culture, creating opportunities for colleagues to come together to collaborate, innovate, and deliver shared goals. By encouraging purposeful connection and flexibility, we aim to foster a sense of community while supporting the way we work best at Sage. That said, we do make adjustments where individual circumstances require additional flexibility. Colleagues who are unwell would be encouraged to speak with their manager and, where appropriate, make use of working from home to support their recovery. Anyone experiencing challenges or concerns in this area is encouraged to raise them through our Always Listening internal feedback channels or to seek confidential support from our Colleague Relations team. We also take your feedback about people and performance processes very seriously. While individual circumstances can vary and aren’t something we can comment on in a public forum, we’re committed to treating colleagues with respect and care and to continually reviewing how policies are applied in practice. We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review and wish you well in the future.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
