Pros
Environment is mission-driven which drew me to the organization. It is not as competitive as working in other large corporations.
Cons
Overall, SSM is fundamentally disorganized, has high turnover, and I've experience that management is disconnected from the front line. Benefits are not good for a health care company and pay is below market. The environment is highly political and can turn from friendly to tense quickly.
