Cons
They always lose your first few checks and then make you run all over the city to find the money you've already earned. When you reach out about your money they will not respond to you directly. Instead you'll be asked to just bum $20 off your SM until further notice. WOW is all I can say after seeing the types of people hired of the last 10 months. Like that time the store manager pretended to work at the the store for 30-90 days; all the while she was at bonusing off of the stores hard work!They should be embarrassed but they don't like to talk about that. Seems like they hire any and everyone that drops off their resume. Whoever is doing the hiring/interviewing has a very poor judgement of character. If your candidate is late, inappropriately dress, sickly, and unprofessional during the interview than more than likely these are the same characteristics they will display once they get the job. Then we are paying more people to stay home. The pay started out okay but that feeling does not last long after you find yourself (a sales associate) performing daily SM duties for months with no compensation because your store does not have one. Does not matter if you make your months, achieve You could literally be the salesperson, manager, stock person, visual merchandiser, maid, exterminator, baby sitter (we like to hire the childish) and EMT. The pay rate is not worth it after all of the stress and possibility of a heart attack. Take care of yourself they will replace you. Upper management does not care about you or your health!! One colleague had a stroke on the clock, they've been hiding that from everyone and continue to work her to the bone to this day! There is no " room for growth" and they do not "promote from within". If someone from HQ does not like you they will make your time with the company living hell. The DM came to our store and told us "if he wanted us gone, we'd be gone" How's that for job security?!lol Most stores are understaffed, most of the dedicated, seasoned leaders with COMMON SENSE have left the company. Leaving the rest of the team to spread themselves extremely thin. They DO NOT care about your safety, associates have literally have been held up at Gunpoint! Despite the fact that several employees have been held up at gun point we continue to place our colleagues at risk by sending irate former employees back to the store to pick up their last check instead of HQ where they have security. Terms like mediocre, not to brand, not elevated enough are spreading specifically about people of color.
