Pros

The Perks...that's about it. location is good too.

Cons

Salary, Bonus, Stock? It's a joke. Go elsewhere. If you have any specialized skill, more specifically in engineering... and worried about compensation - go elsewhere. Plenty of companies will actually pay you what you're worth. If you're a Front End developer, they really don't know what to pay you. Any experience with UI/UX? yeah right... Let's talk about the equity piece. Well, you're given a small negligible piece of equity... unless you're an SVP, then you get a ton of shares...and they hired a ton of SVPs who did what exactly? Also, then one month before the company goes IPO (this is public knowledge you can google), the company exercises a reverse stock split. NOT like what google did where they split their shares then at least doubled everyone equity... Rubicon Project investors/board decided to cut everyone's options in half, then double the amount they had to pay for their options... so a 4x negative for the common folk. who benefits? the investors... who gets screwed? the employees... yeah, they really invest into their employees alright. Let's see. it also takes more than 2 years to get a raise, and it's a small bump. I found a job elsewhere and immediately got a 30% raise.

Pros

The pros of Rubicon are kinda simple unlimited snacks and open kitchen , free lunches , nice company clothes and gear, Mac book pro computers , and there are some friendly people that work at that company !

Cons

There's a lot of favoritism, be prepared to wear a lot of hats that you weren't told of in your interview, So the job you get hired for probably won't be the job you'll actually have to do because rubicon constantly switches up L what they want you to do, No real structure be prepared to constantly switch up your work routine , I hated the open work space , very hard to focus on work when your boss is looking and staring at you 24/7 because you have no cubicle privacy! They judge you on how much they like you and not entirely work performance, like a lot of companies if a co worker leaves they won't rehire be prepared to do double the work! High turn over rate, high taxes on your pay check and severance check, won't your suppose to get paid and what your suppose to get paid won't happen because of the company and California taxes which has nothing to do with you if you work in another office. Horrible payroll department, took over a month after hire date to receive my first paycheck , and lied and taxed the majority of my severance
