Pros

Great salary, great benefits, the job comes with a lot of perks. I felt very welcomed when I joined the company everyone was very nice. Hybrid environment is great with a lot of flexibility.

Cons

I loved this job at first and I was very excited to be a part of a reputable organization until the honeymoon phase ended. My direct manager has been in the industry for nearly 20 years and she clearly was not interested in being a manager. My manager dismissed my client visits and sent me on my own with no support although I was new to the industry. The first 2 weeks this manager told me to find articles online about staffing and technology and that was all the training I received from her. My biggest complaint is that I told my manager about a personal connection that had provided me a lead about a job opening and she took that account out of my name and began contacting that lead herself. I questioned her on this and was told that because I was new I should focus on a smaller pool of clients. When I mentioned this to my manager's boss I was told "shes been here 20 years I don't think she would do that."

Pros

Success with other departments - just not in mine

Cons

Complete bait and switch. I accepted this position under one manager, only to find out after resigning from my previous job that I would be reporting to someone else entirely. There was no meaningful onboarding, no training materials, and no support system in place. My manager openly stated that there was no monetary value in helping me succeed and made little effort to train or develop me. Requests to shadow and learn the business were dismissed in favor of keeping me on the phones. Instead of being set up for success, I felt actively prevented from growing. HR was equally disappointing. I raised legitimate concerns and never received a response. The organization talks about development and support, but my experience suggested otherwise. Joining this company was one of the biggest professional mistakes I have made.
