Pros
The Reynolds employees who act like a team and treat you like family Maternity/Paternity leave 2 Health Care Plans to choose from which are decent but are going up in price each year
Cons
Reynolds had the reputation for being a prestigious and amazing place to be employed - until BAT (British American Tobacco) came in and took over. They are destroying this company from the inside out. Years of knowledge and dedication are walking out the door everyday because this place has gone to hell. The recent SAP Tao software "downgrade" was a total disaster, even thought they keep toting it as a success. It is almost 4 months after go-live and nothing is working correctly. Vendors are owed millions of dollars and are threatening to put us on credit hold and even repossess their assets. We are told to cut costs, reduce safety stocks, cancel POs with vendors - all because the company is now hemorrhaging money due to the botched system change. Suppliers are at their wits end and are ready to cut their relationships and contractors are walking off the job. There was an announcement this past week that the US is under "strategic review" which basically means they are evaluating all positions and will be making significant cuts. They are sending out a survey to all employees asking each of us if we want to stay or go with a severance package (which they have not yet disclosed). All this while telling us how much of a phenomenal job we are doing, to keep pushing and putting in the hard work, and the US is the biggest market for potential growth and profit. They have already dissolved or consolidated multiple departments, are shutting down 3 facilities and putting hundreds of people out of work. More and more BAT employees are being put into positions of power to enforce control onto departments and to make us conform to the Target Operating Model, which does not necessarily work for the US market (given jurisdictions, FDA regulations and process, etc). There is zero respect, no work life balance, and we are told to fix everything with no real support. No one knows what they are doing any longer and things are constantly being changed and not communicated.
