Pros

Field Sales work from home, complete autonomy over schedule, my regional manager was INCREDIBLE... He was the biggest reason I debated on staying on rather than moving on. But there comes a time when you have to choose if you believe in the product you're selling... I can't help restauranteurs if I don't think my product will help them, so it was time to move on. GREAT benefits, decent pay (we all wish for higher pay) -- and a great industry if you like laid-back restauranteurs and eating!! New CEO since I left so hopefully that will be a positive move for the company

Cons

Except for my manager (who was a great gatekeeper from upper management BS) -- this has become a highly micromanaged environment. Even as a field sales, working out of my home, I felt like I was being critiqued and analyzed like I had done something wrong. The pay structure was going down hill when I started to leave; upper management from 2 years ago was much stronger than today's group -- today's group are not engaged, they only care about the bottom line and not building a stronger company. The product seems to be outdated nowadays --- the rewards that diners are getting don't seem to be the driver of behavior --- so we are marketing to diners and giving out rewards, but not really driving the traffic. All the good employees are gone (except for just a few) -- Career Path for Field Sales is limited -- Account Executives, Account Managers and REgional Managers are the ONLY employees allowed to work from home. All other employees must reside in Chicago.... BOO since that is a very limited career path for us that have been with you for a long time.

Pros

Ability to run your own business with support of a company behind you. High earning potential if you are a real hunter, professional salesperson, and self-motivated. Great people to work with and great product to sell. Excellent benefits and higher than norm 401k matching. Unlimited PTO but need to hit your numbers - it's a sales role, after all! What else would you expect?

Cons

Working with restaurants is fun but challenging too.
