Senior Management team took their eyes off the ball and have now lost the essence of what made Reward great in the first place – the people.
Because it wasn’t being reinforced by the senior team, by the end the culture itself was entirely dependent on a handful of staff members who now no longer work there.
There’s been a mass exodus of staff (some of which were let go by the company and others who have had enough) which doesn’t look like it’s slowing down any time soon.
There’s an inner circle with senior management and some of the staff – anyone outside this circle isn’t treated well and I’ve witnessed some bullying behaviour which never gets addressed even when reported.
The vision of Reward is being overlooked because I think they’re gearing up to be sold, which explains why entire departments have been stripped of staff. But in their rush to minimise their operating costs so that the books look better, there’s been a lot of operational mistakes that have cost Reward some huge clients.
I truly believe these mistakes are being made because the staff don’t believe in the vision anymore and that they aren’t motivated or treated well.
