Pros

When I started at Renaissance almost 20 years ago, I believed in the fact that by working here I would be part of a company that impacts students' learning opportunities in unique and phenomenal ways. This has never been more true. In addition to seeing the effects of our day-to-day challenges manifest themselves into confident smiles and deeper curiosity in students, I see a similar effect happening in the educators and employees that embrace the professional learning opportunities offered. Management is supportive of employees using time at work to further develop career skills and cross-departmental relationships. Renaissance is a company that values making connections, deeper learning, and self-discovery.

Cons

Because we are an innovative company with dedicated employees always seeking to improve the lives of others, life-work balance can be hard to manage.

I appreciate the thoughtful comments in your review and am very happy to read of your deep connection to our mission. Although I don’t have an easy solution, I certainly understand the challenges of balancing a busy work schedule with the demands at home. This is something all organizations face, and we’ll do what we can to help strike the right balance for Renaissance employees. Thanks again for this review. – Mike Evans, Interim CEO

Pros

Some of the most amazing people you’ll ever work with. Generally supportive peers. Leaders are kind and not intentionally toxic. Strong brand recognition and a variety of solutions to enable solution selling.

Cons

The culture of the organization seems to have succumbed to the broader climate surrounding politics and education. Immense pressure is placed on sales team to deliver in saturated territories with beyond unachievable quotas for some and cake quotas for others. No cost of living increases, lots of layoffs and unclear path for growth with an egregious lack of transparency from leadership about the glaring issues. NONE of this seems intentional or malicious-it just seems like a lot of behaviors caused by extreme desperation.
