Pros
Having tattoos and being different is not looked down upon. Relaxed management, they do not breathe down the back of your neck, no micromanaging. “Cool” atmosphere in the studios. “Own” your own studio, be your own boss-in certain ways. Benefits - PTO, sick days, insurance-health, dental, vision and bonus opportunity. Stable paycheck. Opportunity for advancement. Open door policy. Wealth of knowledge. Teams is a nice way to interact and learn- someone is always at your finger tips if you have any problems or questions.
Cons
I have been here for over 2 years and have never gotten a well deserved raise. Minimal staff at studios- not the same bonus opportunity if you are understaffed and you have to do the work of 3 people if you are not properly staffed- which leads to other problems such as being burnt out, not being able to use your PTO when you want and feeling like you can’t ever take a sick day because too much is relying on you to stay open and accommodate clients. Bonus opportunity is not based per location- it’s the same across the board so smaller studios don’t have the same opportunity as booming studios, we are always celebrating who makes the most money so it makes the wins at small studios irrelevant. Extra staff outside of the studios- I have no idea who is who and who to turn to for what. A lot of preached positivity at HQ but not the same feeling at the studios. High employee turn over rate. It’s mentally exhausting to work with clients who are not happy with something on their body. Frequent changes- it’s a whirlwind so hold on. Minimal marketing outside of the internet.
