Pros

Cheap food in the food court and Illios Cafe. Basketball Court and Gym. Medical Office Onsite. Decent Pay. Great medical benefits.

Cons

It's a very different world for leadership than agents. One time there was an onsite event where the leadership staff was celebrating something that an agent had helped pilot and the code they wrote worked effectively. The leadership celebrated with drinks, but didn't offer the agent to celebrate and sent the agent back to their desk to take more calls. There's a clear "us and them" view on the world. Agents are treated like workhorses with mandatory overtime, shortened lunches and then constant beat down sessions if the numbers aren't met. They train you in new hire that "coaching is good" only to document every time you talk, sneeze or pick your nose so that when they decide you aren't a good fit, they have everything documented to walk you out the door. Managers are stressed out by their senior managers to get numbers up and when numbers aren't up senior managers require them to micro-manage until they are back at performing statuses. At other companies, doing business ethically is about doing things the right way because it's the right thing to do. At Red Ventures, it's about doing just enough to get by without getting caught. How can I get this customer to say yes, even if she doesn't want to? How can I get this customer to buy today? You don't have any money in your debit card, okay go to the bank and deposit some, I will hold. VERY aggressive sales techniques. And if you accept a customer's response that they want to wait, you get written up. If you don't push the customer and don't basically attack them and corner them, you get written up. Cursing is a part of the culture. I once counted 19 curse words that I heard before lunch time. You will experience everything from cursing to slandering the name of the Lord, and that's acceptable here. Agents are rude to customers who decide not to buy from them, and that's acceptable here. It's like they forget that it's not just a "sale" on the other end of the phone, it's a person. Don't be swayed by the beautiful facility and the great benefits. It is too good to be true.
