I have been working at Red Ventures full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Some very bright people -Everyone is very hard working -You will constantly be challenged -You have a ton of ownership

    Cons

-Intense expectations from senior leadership from people of little experience -A lot of ownership translates to a lot of stress sometimes because of how many responsibilities and expectations you have

I have been working at Red Ventures full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Big campus, benefits, basketball court

    Cons

    - Unrealistic commission goals (seems to benefit only the top 20% of the sales center by a huge margin, below that and you'll only make base pay).

    Advice to Management

The upper management does a great job at moving the company forward. There are a lot of programs and incentives for best performers and under privileged people in other areas of the company. Unfortunately, if you are not a top performer in sales, you will get screwed here.

I have been working at Red Ventures

    Pros

The job opportunity seems like it will eventually offer consistent freelance writing work.

    Cons

It took a month for their HR to reply with information about their onboarding process and when they did, they sent a work-for-hire agreement that went through a long queue of departments before they sent a link to their vendor onboarding. The vendor onboarding is website to register as a freelancer, but it's a catch-all for all vendors, and there are no clear instructions for freelancers, so the freelancer is left to...

    Advice to Management

Please provide more information to new hires about your onboarding process, especially if it's going to take more than a week. Most people aren't going to be familiar with your process, it would help to have some instruction for freelancers for how to fill out the vendor registration.

I worked at Red Ventures full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The potential to make over 80K a year (which has become more difficult over the past few years compared to prior comp plans), large campus and amenities, great benefits, really great cafeteria food, relatively easy work

    Cons

They have continuously made the monthly comp plans more difficult to be profitable with those making the most becoming fewer and fewer at the very top along with a series of business partnerships closing down one after another; many floor leads and newer PCs are inexperienced with effective management and people skills and lead through fear tactics instead; the closing of their north Charlotte location has led to many...

    Advice to Management

Require a sales pro to have worked at least a year in sales before eligible for floor lead and stop moving them around from different businesses so often
