Pros

Lots of perks, great facilities, positive work environment and potential for excellent pay.

Cons

You will work nights and weekends, And your hours will not get better untill you prove yourself and early slots open up. For most people, this takes most people a year or two. You are, despite how they sold it to you in the interview, all the worst parts of a telemarketer. You will probably be hawking a product you dont like or believe in. You will be trained to give evasive answers to make the products sound like they are better than they are. You will grind out the same call over and over and over as fast as you can. You are not allowed to hang up, there is no "3 no's" rule, You keep pushing and pushing untill the customer buys, or hangs up out of anger or frustration. You will constantly be hounded by your manager, and yes, EVERYTHING is micromanaged. You are a number. plain and simple. They care nothing about you, and will fire you in a heartbeat. You could be the #1 agent in the company 6 months in a row with a perfect record, Model employee, etc. But make a mistake or have a bad month, and boom, YOUR FIRED, then given a little white box with your stuff in it from where THEY cleaned out your desk before you got there.

Red Ventures Response

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear you had such a negative experience at RV, and we’re disheartened by your outlook on our company. It’s extremely important to us to build an employee-first culture, and we’re constantly working to improve. Recently, we launched several new leadership initiatives within our sales center designed to improve leadership training and improve communication, among other things mentioned in your post. It’s also incredibly important to us that our employees feel empowered to report feedback and suggestions internally, and we strongly encourage them to do so. We believe that total transparency, teamwork, and having the courage to pursue bold opportunities are the keys to continuing to make Red Ventures a great place to work.
