Pros

Pto isn't bad, though you won't get extra even if you've been at the company for years.

Cons

Honestly the worst company I've ever worked for. I have seen decent employees either fired or walk due to the bullying of management. They do not hire within and instead hire someone off of the street who has 0 idea what their employees do. There is no work life balance, as they expect you to work around the clock, solely to benefit upper management. Pay is terribly low. Well below the national average. Managers could care less about their "team" and are never available to help. Communication is non existent. The environment is beyond toxic. Decent employees are treated horribly and nepotism is alive and well. Management plays favorites, regardless of the type of work you produce. Word on the streets is this company is in so much debt, they can't afford to pay their bills, and it's just a matter of time before the doors are shut

Pros

You could join a diverse group of waste management professionals that have real industry experience from all over the US & Canada. RTS brings the best of technology sustainability to waste collection. As someone with an Ops, Admin, Community Outreach & Sales background, it's great to work with people that understand how to service customers and communicate any potential issues that might come up before they do. It's impressive how knowledgeable our team is and how much you can learn from your coworkers. Seriously, talk to your coworkers about their experience, we all have fun stories to share. RTS recruits from industry people. No need to explain what a 2-YD containers is or what the difference is between a Roll-Off Truck and a Packer Truck. RTS benefits from having relationships throughout North America & Canada, Unlike a traditional hauler, we're not limited by how far a truck can travel in a work day. In sales, you're not limited to a local geographical area. Many large companies need to meet Sustainability goals and RTS specializes in creating, supporting and building upon customer's goals.

Cons

I work best in an office environment with my colleagues. RTS operates throughout the US & Canada, which means you'll be video conferencing with some of your coworkers, but it's an easy adjustment. If you get hired as remote, the company does events where remote employees get to visit the offices they work closely with. It's really fun to meet your coworkers in person.
