Pros
Direct supervisor is fantastic to work for. Supportive, listens to needs, always has my back. The pay and benefits are quite good and there is ample PTO. Ample recognition for high performance, but still a stable work environment for those on cruise control. Can be a comfortable career for those who don't have career ambition, and those who do have opportunity to take more responsibility.
Cons
Was 100% remote... then went to hybrid... now 100% on-site. That's transitioning the wrong way in 2023. Budgets are fickle - one month you're looking at promotions and expanding the team, next month facing layoffs and promotions cancelled. Hard to keep motivated in that environment. Lots of office politics due to the structure in place, different directors and teams undercutting peers to make themselves look better or avoid criticism. Very difficult to just stay above/out of it.
