Pros
I have been in the security industry for over a decade and have never seen a company who dedicates so many resources to training and continuous employee improvement. Two weeks ago I attended our annual sales meeting at our Syracuse, NY facility which included the entire inside and outside sales team, managers and directors. The highlight of my time there had to be the tour of the new expansion which adds an additional 35,000 square feet to the existing 40,0000 square feet of building structure. I was blown away by the level of detail that went into all of the new office spaces, huddle rooms, conference room areas, employee amenities and break areas. Not to mention the new operating room which absolutely blew my mind with it's openness and use of natural light into the building. I could tell that every single square foot of the space we were in was accounted for and thought out in order to increase efficiency while providing redundancy and the most comfortable call center environment possible. Furthermore I was to sit down with various members of our dealer support and technical departments to discuss specific topics that I needed to be refreshed on. Not only was I am impressed by everyone's professionalism but also by how much they valued my time as much as I valued theirs. Reflecting on my time there I had requested to sit with one of the operators and in a matter of minutes they were able to go over specific procedures and scenarios and blew me away with the level of knowledge they possess and use on a day-to-day basis in their roles. It made me proud to represent a company with such dedicated employees who stand by the responsibility of protecting life and property. Before coming on board with Rapid Response they came highly recommended and I can't say enough about the level of leadership top down in this organization. Not only have I been able to be mentored by reliable management that are experts in their fields; I have been given new tools to mentor others and help drive the business with an increased level of ownership and dedication to my peers within a winning culture.
Cons
My role requires that I adjust my hours to fit the needs of the work that needs to be completed and that sometimes interferes with family life. I have learned to separate family and work by becoming better at time management however it was difficult at first. The sales cycle can be challenging and therefore it is not ideal if you are looking for a faster sales cycle. I have found over time that I was able to build my pipeline but it does take some time.
