Pros
- Great exposure to an array of high-level clients of fortune 500 companies, designer brands, and huge retailers. - Depending on the position, travel is a major bonus (for younger folks) - Fast-paced experience (it is often said, "if you can work at rapid, you can work anywhere") and I really believe that to be true. - Major networking-- Rapid is the industry leader by a large margin, so you the opportunity to network with a copious amount of suppliers and clients is a plus. - Co-workers are unlike any place I've ever worked for. The culture of dark humor, political INcorrectness, and "grunt" style work was a plus (for me, not for everyone), but everyone at Rapid is very close like a family. We were all burning together.
Cons
- Major, MAJOR stress. - This is a high capacity work environment, it would be ideal for a single person looking to learn as much as possible in a very condensed timeline, NOT GOOD for someone with a family-- expect long days and nights. - Micromanagement is huge at Rapid. - Even with the lack of processes, there is TOO many processes that make every employee's day longer than it needs to be. Paperwork galore. - General sense of low morale (lately) due to the high capacity. - You would think that the workload would slow down, but the sales team is truly amazing, so there are no slow days at Rapid. - Sales team is treated like high, HIGH level executives and aren't very involved with their projects. - Compensation is low. MUST BE EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY AGGRESSIVE - Lack of growth for employees
