Pros
I got hired as a temp for Randstad at my former company(QBE First), since after doing big lay-offs companies often let more folks go than they can get by with. Was let go again after about a month after they started to get caught back up, but at least was in familiar surroundings with decent pay (but no benes, of course). Some folks who came back with me stayed on a bit longer but all were laid off again within the next few months.
Cons
Some other folks who came back as temps with me had interpersonal problems with new supervisors which created problems with Randstad for them. But most of those situations were few & far between. Randstad was not able to find me another temp position, so I eventually hired on with another temp agency (AppleOne) for some short term jobs.
