Pros
Some decent paying work opportunities.
Cons
The cons, basically these people will hire guys to work sites right before layoffs. Then take people who are eligible for unemployment and low-ball them to other employers, with the threat of losing unemployment. This toxic business practice can be used to drive down people's pay opportunities, every subsequent time their 'contract term' expires. You see, this company believes it owns it's employees, even though they are not actively employed, after being laid off, and this slave like relationship negatively impacts ones ability to find a comparable or better paying job after being laid off.
