I worked at Randstad full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I spent two years at Randstad in the Toronto office. I got some great work experience here and was given a solid opportunity to excel. Also had an amazing mentor.

    Cons

Hard to know where to start. I luckily got through my two years unscathed and ended up leaving for a much better job.

However the way my coworkers were treated by management was appalling . From terrible mind games, crazy pressure, constantly being told you're going to lose your job to straight up racist name calling. Really shocking stuff.

Middle management and upper management only care about money. Don't believe all the fake LinkedIn posts about building you up as a person and human forward. They're cold cruel people. Not sure how some of them can go home to their families and look them in the eye and act like they're good people.

    Advice to Management

Start treating your employees like humans and not cattle.

I have been working at Randstad full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work life balance, lots of vacation time, for the most part a positive atmosphere

    Cons

Push to be “human forward” yet our customer service and follow up with candidates is spotty. Sales targets are very aggressive, not enough freedom to get to the end result, mixed messages from upper management and line managers, internal politics are a thing feels like you have to be best friends with management outside of work to get anywhere in the company.

    Advice to Management

Disconnect from line managers and upper management on what priorities are

    Cons

Reward high achievers with the support they need
