Pros
Great company to work as a remote contractor. Great work/life balance, depending on what you do. You work for the contracting company so there's a layer of sub management you never see. Pretty simple online recording of hours. Health benefits are decent. 401K and other benefits are dependent on the client's base benefits. Overall, a pretty decent company that represent contractors worldwide. Support for diversity and LGTBQ.
Cons
No performance reviews for contractor, therefore, no raises. Very little account management involvement. They only reach out to you when the contract is either ending or extending. Very slow to respond. Send them an email and it sits for weeks before they respond. Before accepting a job with them, read the client specifics carefully. If the client has a holiday, Randstad contractors will not get paid. PTO is non-existent. Sick time is non-existent. Bereavement is non existent. My mother died and a call and email requesting any help, 3 weeks later the account manager responds, "sorry about your mother, but no we don't have any bereavement time off" ... very insensitive. Only payroll emails happen every Friday or before a holiday. The company has a very hands off approach, and I understand that, but from a human resources perspective, Randstad fails quite miserably.
