      Mobile referral program - Devops Engineer Rakuten Employee Review

      Pros

      One day the CEO decided that every employee in the company must sign-up at least 2 people to Rakuten Mobile (mobile provider), in order to "help the company". Then, a full-blown circus begun. Employees started to get bullied into having their relatives join the mobile program, and pressure just kept increasing from managers. One of the worst experiences I've witnessed in Tech so far. Would absolutely not recommend to anyone joining the company.

      Pros

      Rakuten Rewards has great life balance. Too bad the economy was getting rocked.

      Don't really have any cons. I understand that the market's been hard so had to downsize the force, so that was kinda challenging. Hopefully AI will increase everyone's output.
