- Big MNC Stability - Decent salary & perks
Cons
- Japanese culture expects you to work like a humanoid robot. From requirement gathering to story creation to R&D and actual development to testing to DevOps and infra setup to UAT and go-live you are the sole owner/product manager/engineer of their products. - No team structure, no help.. if you're stuck, you're on your own. Managers are jacks of all trades and master of none (let alone tech) :) - They treat you like school children with strict timing, timesheet culture and expect you to attend weekly all-hands or else mail gets triggered to HR. IDK how to react to that #lmao

I've been working at Rakuten for a little over a year and it has been a great experience so far. The company culture is very inclusive and encourages collaboration and innovation. I appreciate the company's commitment to work-life balance, and the flexible work arrangements have been a huge benefit for me. In terms of career growth, Rakuten provides ample opportunities to develop new skills and take on new challenges. Management is supportive of employees' career goals and encourages growth within the company. The company also invests in its employees through various training programs and initiatives.
Cons
