Pros

Quarks is a strong employer that offers competitive compensation and multiple flexible working options for employees. The organization has also been recognized as a Great Place to Work, reflecting its positive work culture and employee-centric approach. One of the key strengths of the company is the support provided to new joiners and interns, who receive excellent guidance, mentorship, and learning opportunities from experienced leaders and team members, enabling their professional growth and development. Additionally, the HR team at Quarks is highly supportive, approachable, and responsive, consistently working towards creating a positive employee experience and providing timely assistance throughout the employee lifecycle.

Cons

Policies need to be reviewed and strengthened to ensure they are comprehensive, legally compliant, and aligned with current business requirements and industry best practices.

Pros

1. Open to ideas ; Sr. Mgmt wants everybody to open up in meetings and share their views 2. The onboarding process for new hires is quick 3. Importance is given to Quality. Moving towards CMMI Assessments. Internal audits are being conducted. 4. Company is expanding rapidly. 5. Recently came to know that the CEO is still very active on the technical side and got some insights about how he solved customer requirements very quickly. Awesome ! 6. Regular meetings on Farming - is a very good practice.

Cons

1. Town halls are totally absent. In the last 8 months since I joined, there was only 1 Town Hall set up with the CEO. 2. Information about Quarks is on LinkedIn first and comes to the employees later. 3. Though it is a small company work in silos is very evident. 4. Senior management is absent from the Bangalore office. They are seen only on occassions. And work only with their teams. Interaction with the rest of the team coming to office is minimal. 5. The Bangalore office shifted to a new venue on 1st June, but its been more than 3 weeks for the Biometric to be set up. 6. There were emails to celebrate "Christmas", "Makar Sankranti" and "Holi". What about "Eid ul Fitr " ?? There is a WhatsApp group for the Bangalore location. Some senior leaders (including HR personnel) wished for other festivals, but none for Eid. This may seem to be "Discriminatory language", because, it is felt. But, doesn't this negate the policy of "Diversity and inclusivity" ?
