Pros

Supportive managers(some), awesome teammates, ample learning opportunities as long as you are willing and dedicated, The time i have been there I was fully supported by my team towards realising my ideas and suggestions. I left for the org with an external offer of 5x my pay, ofcourse my learnings at Qualcomm were one of the major contributing factors towards this. Great office space in Hyderabad

Cons

I was part of OneIT, Bala Meka team so below are only relevant for that org No clear path for career progression, apparently each team has a quota for no of promos in a year(as per my then manager) which doesn't make any sense at all Especially when I've seen a better frequency of promos in higher level manager roles than entry level engineers every year I was there, which baffles me to this day. This particularly demotivated me after my initial years. I even saw a colleague in the same entry level role for more than 5 years while a manager got promoted twice in 6 years during the same period again mind blown, Lateral hires are for some reason greatly preferred to internal candidates, I've seen entry level engineers with offers that are almost 2x than the internal folks with higher experience, not exactly sure about the reasonings there. Completely Non sensical performance reviews and sub-par hikes with well versed excuses every year often involving factors out of their control like senior management/ economic downturn etc. Visible bias from team(some members) if above behaviour is questioned, Have observed some team members being snubbed(read as eventually driven out) for voicing out similar issues or dissatisfaction with their work/careerpath which in my book is a red flag

Pros

Great benefits, the pay is like okay. Some cool reimbursement programs and health centers on campus

Cons

Career progression and culture varies extremely depending on department. Some parts almost set you up for failure and it's difficult to gain new skills. Lots of qualcomm teams are too scared to explore new technologies and migrate to state of the art services and are comfortable in sticking with old technology for familiarity. Also, HR does nothing if a coworker makes you uncomfortable.
