Pros

1. Fast pace company. With lesser processes that slow down work. 2. The average age of the company must be in 20s. So work becomes fun. 3. Office Lunch. 4. Not extreme work pressure. Work pressure is fair, at times things need to be done urgently. 5. Well, spend, team outings.

Cons

1. In house promoted management. Almost all teams have directors, who once joined as interns when PubMatic was a startup and made it to high positions in just about 10years. No outside world exposure. Most have frog-of-the-well mentality with no ability to think outside office politics. Expecting managers being interested in your career development will be lofty thoughts. 2. Don't be surprised to see a 6-7 yrs experienced person as manager. Crappy team vision is inevitable. 3. HR is frugal. With sudden awful policies like - -> not celebrating birthdays of people on notice period. Save money on gift cards. -> Eat away peoples tenure award money, just because they are on notice period. (mind you these rules were not there when tenure awards or Birthday celebration policies were declared.)

Pros

Strong, knowledgeable teams and a good place to learn the ins and outs of the ad tech space. You get to work with people who know the industry well, and there are truly amazing people on the teams.

Cons

Not any I can think if.

Pros

I’ve worked at PubMatic for 6 years and it’s been one of the most consistently strong environments I’ve experienced. Leadership is genuinely brilliant, transparent, and inspiring — it’s rare to find executives who are both strategically sharp and straightforward about where the business is headed. The company uses hard data to make tough decisions, which creates clarity and trust even when priorities shift. The people are extremely smart and collaborative, and I’ve worked with some of the best colleagues of my career. Cross-functional teamwork is strong, and there’s a real sense that everyone is trying to solve the problem together (not protect turf). Culture is professional but friendly, and you feel like you’re surrounded by high performers who are still good humans. Also: lunch is provided every day, which is a genuinely appreciated perk.

Cons

PubMatic sets a high bar — it’s a fast-paced environment and expectations are real. If you’re looking for a slow-moving company or coasting culture, this won’t be the best fit.
