Pros
It’s a way to get a paycheck.
Cons
The career website says it all, “working at Prosperity is an investment in your future.” Working here is an investment in your future because upper management sure as heck doesn’t want to invest in you. Compensation is below market and turnover is absolutely absurd. Upper management knows this, but they don’t want to do anything about it. Want to participate in team building events or the annual holiday party? YOU have to pay for it either through a deferral from your paycheck or an upfront payment before the event. The CFO has to review and approve every expense even small ones such as travel reimbursements, which is ridiculous considering this is a larger regional sized bank. It takes 5 to 6 years to vest in the 401k. And they won’t pay you for your unused vacation if you resign before the end of the first quarter. All management cares about is keeping personnel expenses and overhead expenses low and raising dividend payments. PB could be such an awesome place to work, and it’s unfortunate that the 3 men running this place won’t get out of the way.
