Pros

A handful of people are pleasent to work with most of the time...

Cons

Most of the management team are uniquely unqualified to handle the responsibilities of their position, they lack the professional expertise and mostly just fumble from one issue to the next. The owner micro manages everything and the company is plagued with nepotism. The office is old and musty, the building is falling apart and the company is so severely behind on technology. The office staff receive less than 3% raises (if any at all) with positive performance reviews. There is absolutely no structure to the company's "training" process for any role, so learning the unnecessarily tedious steps to every part of a project is painful and slow. The sales team set the overly ambitious and deliberately misinformed expectations on all projects which leads to a high stress environment and the work force are going to be aging out very soon, many are over 65. This place is a sinking ship, sales have been declining for a while, stay away at all costs, much better work available elsewhere.

Pros

Pay continued through COVID though office was closed for a period of time. .The company also offers flexible schedule to meet my and other employee needs. Management cares and it was proven even more during tough times. Because of its nimble management, the company continues to flourish.

Cons

Nothing stands out. Wish office were closer to my home.

Pros

Progressive Specialty Glass is a privately owned company that has all the benefits of a large public corporation but with a family friendly close knit feel. The owner is 100% invested in his employees. He is in the trenches with you and always a support. He knows the more successful his employees are the more successful his business is so he really takes the time to help you learn, grown and accomplish goals. The sales role itself is a lot fun. You sell products and programs that genuinely add value to your customers. You get to build your own book of business and manage your own schedule. You're earning potential is limitless! As a woman raising a family, I can say, a successful career would not have been possible if it weren't for this company. As long as your book of business is growing, your day is your day.

Cons

If you are not a self motivated individual this job isn't for you. There are great rewards with this company but with that comes great challenges. I don't feel there are any cons to working at Progressive Specialty Glass and know that those who have seen negatives are the employees that didn't have the drive to get up and make the choice to be successful.
