Pleasant but sometimes frustrating place to work - IT Operations Analyst Progressive Insurance Employee Review

Pros

Easy going atmosphere, great people to work with, gainsharing

Cons

Lack of movement, degrees mean nothing when being considered for other positions, favoritism for those who have family members working here that are high up on the company. Hiring college hires with no experience making more than those who have experience and the degrees and having us train them so that they can advance.

Pros

One day a week in the office. No weekends. Work from home 4 days. New hires do have to be in office 2 days for first year then go to 1 day a week. Benefits are good. Everyone is awesome. Really only had one supervisor who was a little on the micro managing side but they were new to it. Other than that VP don down the line to adjuster are all super nice and approachable

Cons

It’s a stress full job. I love it but it’s not for everyone. You have to be on your A game every day or you will get behind
